A little fun with Paris' metro map

Foreword

I apologize for my english soeaking friends but the special cards available in french will ot be translated (just too much work). The rest however can be used as such (map and destination cards).

Downloads

Each map is made of 9 pics to be easily printed, else you can download zipped jpgs (Map 1, Map 2 and Map 3) or nicer pdfs (Map 1, Map 2 and Map 3).

Destination Cards ("Tickets")

You can download here the standard tickets and the optional triple destinations tickets. There are - on purpose - too many of them. It is a goof ideé to modify the deck of cards used between each game, always deleting routes that are too similar.

You can also print your own cards.

Various maps

Below, various versions of Paris metro map (routes being colored differently), leading to pretty different kind of games.

"Métro" map

This map is the one quite closely matching the real parisian metro. N-S and E-O main lines are gray and double, therefore quite easy to build, they match the main daily commutes of parisian inhabitants. However, moving away from the center may be complex, especially "rive gauche" (i. e. south of the Seine river).

"Colored main lines" map

While keeping the main lines doubled, this map "rebalances / redispatches" a little the difficulties over the map by moving the gray routes midway between Paris center and the "périphérique" (the circular external lines).

"Web" map

This map moves away from the reality of the parisian metro in order to provide a trickier game. Double routes have been removed, while preserving the original logic of short gray routes and long colored ones. The Stalingrad station has been added to balance the game (therefore some additional destination cards en plus).
